Addressing climate change
Drakes Renewables were commissioned to install a 45kWp solar system above the plant area on the roof of Britannia Leisure Centre in Hackney. The bespoke mounting system was specifically designed to meet the unique requirements of the building.
The installation not only fulfilled but exceeded the London Plan’s criteria, maximising the electricity that can be used by the building. This solar system plays a key role in improving the building’s energy efficiency and sustainability, generating renewable power and significantly reducing operational costs.
