Quality Solar Solutions
Addressing climate change
The solar panels at Sea City Museum were installed in February 2023 as part of the Energy Team and Properties Corporate Assets Decarbonisation Scheme (CADS). This initiative aligns with Southampton City Council’s commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2030, helping reduce the museum’s carbon footprint and contribute to the city’s sustainability goals.
A unique aspect of this installation was the use of a non-penetrative mounting system, designed to preserve the warranty of the existing roof while ensuring compatibility with its structure and composition. This solution ensured both the roof’s integrity and the system’s long-term performance.
