Addressing climate change
Twiflex operates a high-demand manufacturing facility specializing in clutches for the marine industry. With a recently refurbished south-facing roof pitched at 30 degrees, the site offered an ideal opportunity for a Solar PV installation to cut energy costs and lower the company’s carbon footprint.
In its first year, the system exceeded its projected energy yield by 4.5%, delivering greater-than-expected savings. Impressed by these results, Twiflex is now securing funding to expand its Solar PV capacity further.
Drakes Renewables professionally supplied and installed our Solar PV system, maximizing the performance of our perfectly pitched roof. Their team was highly accommodating and maintained excellent communication and workmanship throughout the project. As a busy factory with constant on-site activity, health and safety is our top priority. Drakes worked closely with us to ensure the installation was completed safely without disrupting our operations. They carefully managed the installation of 657 panels, collaborating with us to minimize visible cabling for a clean finish. Drakes also worked with our roofing supplier to protect our 30-year roof warranty. With space for an additional 117kWh of solar capacity, we will confidently choose Drakes Renewables for future installations.
