Solar power
case study
“Wolves Lane Centre is being developed into a thriving, climate-resilient space, thanks to funding from the National Lottery, the Mayor’s Good Growth Fund, Haringey Council, and the Clothworkers’ Foundation. The new eco-building plan features ecologically-informed soft landscaping, reed-beds, sustainable drainage systems, and rainwater harvesting.
To complement this sustainable vision, Drakes Renewables were brought in to design and install a solar system spread across three buildings with corrugated and standing seam roofs. Drakes played a key role in securing the maximum grant funding available, ensuring the project received full financial support. The installation of a safe, efficient solar system aligns with the site’s ethos of sustainability, contributing renewable energy and reinforcing the centre’s commitment to environmental responsibility.”
